World Leader in Recreational and Light Commercial Hovercraft
The British Hovercraft Company (BHC) is the world’s largest recreational and light commercial small hovercraft manufacturer. With over 30 years of development, BHC produces around 100 high-quality hovercraft each year, shipping to private clients and distribution networks across four continents.

A Legacy of Innovation and Racing
BHC's team discovered a passion for racing hovercraft in 1997, gaining invaluable insights from successes, failures, and collaboration with talented enthusiasts and designers. Racing, especially in national events like the challenging 'Coastal Series' championship, has been pivotal in advancing small hovercraft design.

In 2008, BHC achieved a milestone when two of its personal hovercraft crossed the English Channel from Dover to Calais, navigating the world's busiest shipping lane in under an hour each way using just three gallons of fuel. This feat, repeated in 2010 with two people on board, showcased the exceptional capabilities of BHC hovercraft.

Unmatched Expertise and Craftsmanship
BHC's expertise spans personal, commercial, corporate, and race-winning hovercraft, making their range the most accomplished recreational hovercraft available globally. Every hovercraft is made in the UK, starting from a roll of fibreglass, crafted by talented fitters and laminators with exceptional creative skills.

Global Reach and Expansion
BHC has sold hovercraft in over 50 countries and aims to reach 100 within the next five years under the leadership of Managing Director James Halligan. The company continues to grow, with a warm welcome to two new apprentices in 2021, becoming the first UK hovercraft manufacturer to offer apprenticeships in Marine Engineering.

Acquisitions and New Models
In early 2021, BHC acquired the assets of Reaction International (Hov-Pod) and continues to manufacture improved Hov-Pod recreational models. The company also collaborates with Keith Smallwood of Vortex Hovercraft Services, presenting the new BHC700/750D model. This versatile twin-engine craft can carry up to nine passengers and is perfect for commercial, utility, search and rescue applications. Various specifications include options for a cockpit cuddy, partially enclosed deck, or fully enclosed deck with climate control and luxury seating.

Commitment to Quality
All BHC hovercraft are built in the UK and are committed to quality and innovation. The company ensures every craft meets the highest standards, with quick-release seating options for adaptable deck space and seating capacity.

BHC continues to set new standards in the hovercraft industry, merging the best in performance, design, and customer satisfaction.
