Thorpe Bay Yacht Club

Founded on May 17th, 1948, Thorpe Bay Yacht Club has a rich history, established by a group of enthusiastic individuals with the goal of forming the first yacht club east of Southend pier. Over the past sixty years, the club has evolved while staying true to its tradition and purpose.

With a steady and enthusiastic membership of around 1000, Thorpe Bay Yacht Club remains committed to its founding principles. The current committee is actively engaged in modernizing the club's facilities and fundraising efforts for a replacement jetty, ensuring that the club continues to thrive and provide a vibrant community for maritime enthusiasts.
