Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) is a government-owned company that possesses and oversees ferries, ports, harbors, and related infrastructure essential for crucial ferry services in Scotland, particularly along the west coast and the Clyde Estuary, as well as in the Northern Isles. CMAL is fully owned by the Scottish Government, and Scottish Ministers are the exclusive shareholders of the company. Its primary mission is to ensure the provision and maintenance of these critical maritime assets that support transportation and connectivity within Scotland.
