West Burrafirth Marina

West Burrafirth offers a suitable anchorage for vessels, and those berthing at the pier benefit from good shelter provided by the ferry terminal serving Papa Stour. The coastal area to the east includes the uninhabited island of Vementry, which marks the entrance to Swarbacks Minn. This area leads to Aith Voe, Olna Firth, and Busta Voe, which was a former naval anchorage. Notable features include Vementry's First World War watchtower and two gun emplacements guarding the sound. Vementry also boasts Shetland's best-preserved chambered cairn, adding historical interest to the maritime landscape.
